Jane Catherine Severn is the founder and facilitator of Luna House (www.lunahouse.co.nz) and a practicing therapist, writer and menstruality educator. Her 40 years' deep study of women's hormonal design has given birth to a profound body of original knowledge and a new spiritual/developmental model of menstrual cycles and menopause. Her first book, "The World Within Women: the femenome guide to your menstrual cycle" is available, and her second, "The Alchemy of Menopause", is expected in 2023.
Workshop Description
A radical re-cognising of the role of women's hormones as agents of soul and consciousness, offering an empowering and inspiring new understanding of their spiritual design and purpose as revealed in the ever-changing energies of the Menstrual Cycle. We go well beyond the accustomed fertility model to open new layers of awareness and relevance, making deeper sense of the cycle as the developmental matrix of feminine life. This workshop offers new ways of understanding ourselves, new language for speaking of what has been too long unseen and unnamed, and a new model to guide us in our everyday experience of female variability. You will quite literally come to see yourself in a whole new light, as you discover how to live in accordance with, rather than resistance to, your cycle.
Workshop Description
This workshop will offer a radical re-cognising of the role of hormones as agents of soul and consciousness, and how they are designed to propel a woman through the great expansions of Self that we are invited into at menopause. Far from being pathologies that disrupt our lives, the often-dreaded "symptoms" of menopause will be presented in a very different light as ingenious developmental devices that open whole new realms of consciousness as they usher us into deeper layers of our intrinsic feminine nature. Learning how to go with, instead of against, our natural developmental design brings enormous relief and liberation to women at midlife. The new model offered in this workshop opens the way for energies of the mature feminine that have been missing from the world for far too long.
