I'm a psychologist who is passionate about holistic well-being, balancing all four walls of Te Whare Tapa Wha i.e. spiritual, mental, physical and relational health. The main focus of my work is on raising subconscious patterns of behaviour into consciousness awareness so that we can work on releasing that which no longer serves us and start to align our lives more with our Valued Direction, connecting with the most authentic version of our self and returning to the core essence of who we are.
So often as parents, we find ourselves stuck in automatic patterns of behaviour that does not align with our values as a parent, particularly when our emotions are triggered by those of our children! In this workshop, we will explore our Valued Direction as a parent and learn ways of connecting with our children and co-regulating their emotions using the framework of PACE (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity and Empathy). We will practice rehearsing new ways of being with our children, and also explore some of the neuroscience behind child development and emotions.
